WeTransfer Tutorial

Step by Step Instructions

Make sure you have the file you wish to transfer on the computer you are currently using.
Make sure you know where your file is saved.
Open a web browser. I recommend Chrome. I will be using Chrome in this tutorial.
In the address bar type in WeTransfer.com (All one word.) and hit enter.
If this is your first time using WeTransfer you will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions.
Click the I Agree button.
You will be taken to the “Add your files” screen.
Click the Plus sign.
A new window will open up where you can select what file you wish to transfer.
Select the file by clicking that file and then clicking open in the bottom right of the window.
To select more than one file at a time, hold down the control button on the keyboard and click on each of the files you wish to send with your left mouse button. Release the control button then click open in the bottom right of the window.
Once you click the open button, you will be taken back to the WeTransfer page.
The files that you selected will show up at the top of the page. Check the names to be sure you are sending the right files.
Click in the space that says “Email to”
Type in the email address of the person you are sending the file to.
Now click in the space that says “Your Email”
Type in your email address.
Next click in the space that says “Message”
In your message type in: A) Your Name B) The Name of the Project, and C) The Name of Your Character
Once you have completed your message, click the Transfer button at the bottom.
If you do not have a WeTransfer account, the site will send a verification code to the email address you entered as “Your email” DO NOT CLOSE THE WETRANSFER WINDOW!
OPEN A NEW WINDOW OR TAB. Log into your email and copy the verification code you have been sent.
If you cannot find the email from WeTransfer in your inbox, it may be in your spam/junk folder.
Once you have the verification code, return to the WeTransfer window and enter the code in the box that says “Enter verification code.”
Click “Verify”
Once you click “Verify” your files will begin to transfer. DO NOT CLOSE THE WINDOW UNTIL YOU SEE “YOU’RE DONE” displayed in the window.
You’re done!
